Are you nervous about your dental visits? If so, then don’t worry, you are not alone. In fact, thousands of people in the UK suffer from varying degrees of ‘dentophobia’.
Whilst most people do keep their appointments, quite a few do not. Unfortunately, avoiding your dental appointments usually means that any minor dental issue you may have is likely to need more extensive treatment as it becomes worse; often with accompanying pain which can become severe. So it really does make sense to come to see us even if you have a severe dislike of dental visits.
How we can help
At Quarry Rise Dental Centre, we understand people’s anxiety about visiting the dentist. Realistically, it is not likely to be on many people’s lists of top things to do and we will always do our best to help you to relax prior to, and during your treatment.
All of our staff members are trained to help patients relax, and from the first smile from our friendly reception team through to the dentists themselves, you can be sure that we will welcome you in a relaxed and sympathetic manner.
However anxious you are about your dental visits; by attending them on time and making sure you look after your teeth at home with regular brushing and flossing, there is every chance that you will be able to minimise treatment.
If any decay is detected, this can be treated early on with a minor procedure; usually a filling. We used the latest equipment which helps the dentist to complete the procedure as quickly as possible.
Our team are always happy to discuss any aspect of your treatment or general dental care with you and we are open to suggestions of ways to help make your visit as relaxed and stress free as possible.
